Avails Staffing seeks skilled Marine Insulators to join our crew, insulating piping, machinery, and systems for water, air conditioning, refrigeration, and steam equipment aboard vessels. You will read blueprints, use hand tools, and design customized insulation solutions suited to each project.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of shipyard insulation experience, strong attention to detail, reliable transportation, and the flexibility to work in varying shifts and weather.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on marine insulation work.
• Expertise with insulation materials and their applications.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather, early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Apply insulation and coverings to piping, machinery, and systems for water, AC, refrigeration, and steam machinery.
• Insulate bulkheads and overheads using rubber, fiberglass hullboard, calcium silicate, and insulation tapes/cloths.
• Read and interpret blueprints to execute projects with precision.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment (knives, cutters, saws, tape measures, band saws, stud guns) effectively.
• Design and install customized insulation systems tailored to specific applications.
• Apply lagging cloth with accuracy and craftsmanship.

What You'll Do as Part of Our Crew:
As a Marine Insulator, you will:
