Job summary

Sika is seeking a Packaging Operator at the Greer, SC Insulation Plant. You will inspect boards, stack units, palletize and label finished products, and support offline fabrication tasks. The role requires attention to safety, ability to read simple instructions, and physical stamina for a 10-hour shift. Join a team focused on quality and efficient packaging processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure accurate to 1/16”.

Responsibilities

• Inspect foam insulation boards/panels.
• Stack foam insulation boards/panels into units approximately 48 inches in height.
• Palletize and properly label verified insulation units by fastening palletizing materials and stretch wrapping finished units through automatic machinery for delivery to the storage area.
• Perform salvage operations as necessary
• Fabricate composite panels in an adjacent offline workspace.
• Keep packaging area neat and presentable.
• Other duties as needed.
