Job summary

Marshall’s Specialty Services LLC is seeking an insulation installer to join our field team in Springfield, OR. This full-time position focuses on installing insulation and related products to company standards, delivering high-quality customer experience.

You will work in various spaces including walls, attics, and crawl spaces, using hand and power tools, while adhering to safety protocols. A valid license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and clear English communication are required.

Qualifications

  • Must pass drug and background screens.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable through the company insurance carrier.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/8".
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and other areas following codes and safety standards.
  • Prepare job sites, move obstacles, and protect surfaces.
  • Operate company vehicle in compliance with safety laws.
  • Support and remove ductwork, ensuring security and regulations.
  • Complete weekly vehicle inspection reports.
  • Use safety equipment daily and maintain situational awareness.
  • Load/unload materials and keep trucks orderly.
  • Work staggered schedules if required.
  • Maintain a clean truck and job site.
  • Work in confined spaces and on roofs when needed.

Summary / Objective

To install insulation and insulation products to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work hours are based on business needs and may vary. Extended hours and weekend work may be required to meet operational demands.

Essential Job Functions
  • Install and remove insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, and other areas as needed, following building codes and safety standards
  • Prepare job sites using drop cloths, moving furniture or obstructions and prepare surface areas using floor protectors
  • Operate company vehicle following all safety standards and applicable laws
  • Support and remove ductwork properly, ensuring it is secured and compliant with regulations
  • Complete weekly vehicle inspection report
  • Properly use safety equipment daily, to include but not limited to, gloves, back brace, lifting harness, safety glasses and continual observation of surroundings and team members
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring that vehicles are stocked with necessary supplies and kept clean and organized
  • Ability to work staggered schedule, if required
  • Clean truck and job site
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, such as under floor crawl spaces and attics
  • Ability to work on a roof, as needed
  • Install vent screens, baffles, dams, and extended fan venting
  • Use mobile devices or software to track job progress, log materials used, and communicate with supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned
Travel

Travel may be required for training, events, and job site support

Education and Experience
  • Must pass drug and background screens

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure down to the ⅛”

Competencies

This position requires:

  • Basic vehicle operation/use
  • Ability to walk, climb, balance, kneel, crawl and use stairs
  • Ability to hear, talk clearly and see
  • Ability to work in attics, basements, crawl spaces and other tight, uncomfortable spaces
  • Ability and willingness to work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions
  • Ability to work on ladders, stilts, lifts and scaffolding for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, spray equipment and other equipment as needed
  • Basic Safety Knowledge of tools and surroundings and understanding of how to use common tools
