Enbridge is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician IV to maintain, troubleshoot, test, and calibrate electrical and instrumentation equipment used in natural gas compression and measurement facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial electrical and instrumentation background, with hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, working with 480V electrical systems, calibrating Rosemount transmitters, and troubleshooting control valves.
Experience with natural gas compressors and Waukesha engines is highly preferred but not required. Training will be provided for Waukesha-specific equipment and gas measurement responsibilities.
Enbridge will provide training on Waukesha engines and cross-training for gas measurement responsibilities. Technicians will be requalified under Enbridge’s Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements before performing applicable tasks.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on industrial I&E technician who can independently troubleshoot PLCs, diagnose 480V electrical issues, calibrate transmitters, and work with control valves. Direct natural gas compression experience is a plus, but strong industrial electrical and instrumentation skills are the primary requirements.
Candidates with primarily residential or commercial electrical experience, PLC experience limited to monitoring, or backgrounds focused mainly on training and supervision without hands-on troubleshooting may not be a strong fit.
