Job summary

Pro Staff seeks an Electronics Instrumentation Technician to support advanced industrial instrumentation, electrical systems and process controls in Reno, NV. This direct-hire role offers strong earning potential with overtime and a 9/80 schedule.

The candidate will troubleshoot, repair and calibrate instrumentation, control valves, PLCs and DCS systems, perform maintenance, and assist with system upgrades and FAT/SAT testing while maintaining SAP records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of instrumentation, electrical maintenance, or industrial controls experience.
• Level II NETA certification or Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• Experience with PLCs and DCS platforms (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Honeywell, DeltaV, Yokogawa, Triconex).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with valves, meters, VFDs, analyzers, motors and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation, analyzers, control valves, PLCs, DCS systems, and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime.
• Support commissioning, system upgrades, FAT/SAT testing, and control loop verification.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records within SAP.
• Diagnose and repair medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, motors, drives, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Participate in safety initiatives, process hazard reviews, and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide technical support during plant upsets, outages, and critical operational events.
