Wunderlich-Malec Engineering is seeking an Instrumentation Technician in Eden Prairie, MN. This role involves troubleshooting instrumentation, collaborating with customers, and working in the control panel shop.
Candidates should have a technical associate’s degree or equivalent experience, along with over 2 years in relevant responsibilities. The position offers a salary range of $35 to $45 per hour based on qualifications and experience, plus various benefits such as medical and paid time off.
We have an Instrumentation Technician position available in Eden Prairie, MN. The person plays a key role with customers and project deliverables and is a representative of the entire effort put forward on each project. The position requires traveling to local customers as well as working in the control panel shop.
Education: Technical associate’s degree or equivalent training/experience. Journeyman level electrician with industrial controls experience acceptable.
Experience: Over 2 years of experience with the responsibilities listed above; ability to work effectively with customers and maintain business relationships; team‑work skills; valid driver’s license for travel; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Must be able to use hands and feet with full dexterity; ladder and confined space access; use hand tools; see, hear, speak clearly; lift, climb, mount/dismount equipment; push, pull; tolerate temperature extremes, sun exposure, moisture; possible hazardous materials and electrical voltages. Ability to stand, drive, bend, squat, climb, twist, balance, and reach.
Travel to local customers; on‑site control panel shop; industrial environments (construction trailers, etc.). Work may occur in varied temperature conditions, in damp or wet surroundings, on uneven or slippery surfaces, in confined spaces, at heights. Exposure to noise, vibration, chemicals. Irregular or extended hours; on‑call or travel for project completion.
