Job summary

Lonza is seeking an Instrumentation Specialist for our Bend, Oregon site to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments supporting Quality Control. The role emphasizes validation activities and on-site repairs, with travel between Bend sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and systems.
• Experience maintaining and repairing analytical instruments.
• Knowledge of regulated environments such as GMP or similar standards.
• Familiarity with validation or qualification of laboratory equipment.
• Ability to travel between Bend sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments.
• Develop and maintain validation procedures for laboratory systems.
• Support computer system validation activities for lab instruments.
• Create and manage validation documents, including protocols and reports.
• Coordinate on-site repairs and manage vendor relationships.
• Order and maintain spare parts and inventory levels.
• Support audits and provide technical expertise to ensure compliance.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and compliance of laboratory instrumentation that supports critical quality control processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to life-saving therapies while developing your technical expertise.
