Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Memphis, TN is seeking a Journey-Level Instrumentation Fitter for an industrial manufacturing and process facility project. You will install, fabricate, route, and test stainless steel instrument tubing, supporting pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems.

Candidates should have 5+ years in industrial instrumentation/tubing, read P&IDs and layouts, and possess strong bending and fitting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial instrumentation tubing or process piping experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop drawings, and instrumentation layouts.
• Strong tubing bending and compression fitting skills.
• Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
• Experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, chemical processing, or power generation.

Responsibilities

• Install and route stainless steel instrument tubing for pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, tubing layouts, and installation specifications.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install tubing using industry-standard tools.
• Install tubing supports, clamps, cable trays, and mounting hardware.
• Install and connect valves, manifolds, pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature instruments, analyzers, and other field instrumentation.
• Assemble compression fittings to ensure leak-free connections.
• Perform pressure testing, leak checks, flushing, and quality inspections.
• Ensure tubing installations meet project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Work alongside electricians, pipefitters, millwrights, and instrumentation technicians.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety requirements.
