Job summary

Austin Industrial in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to install and service instrumentation, read blueprints, and ensure control systems operate reliably in industrial facilities.

You will apply knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and electrical wiring while installing instruments, calibrating devices, and coordinating with maintenance teams to support clients across the oil, gas, and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

Journeyman level experience (3–5 years).
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Reads and works from related blueprints and other schematic drawings.
Installs and/or removes various instrumentation devices.
Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electricity.
Installs instruments, instrument stands and control wiring to valves and strokes valves to verify operation.
Installation and calibration of recorders, alarms, switches and other devices.
Maintains current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
