The Instrumentation Engineer will work with ateam of engineers, drafters, and other disciplines to ensure the integrateddesign deliverables meet project requirements. This will include reviewing andunderstanding client provided specifications and all applicable codes andstandards.
Preparation of Control System Philosophy andNarrativedocuments;
Preparation of instrument datasheets;
Perform instrumentation cable sizingcalculations andselection;
Sizing of primary control system elements suchas PLC controllers, digital/analog input and output cards, switches,relays/contactors, and terminal blocks;
Preparation and review of test and commissioningprocedures;
Work with the instrumentation design team inpreparing construction drawings depicting wiring, tray layouts, processconnections, andsupports;
Preparation of loop sheets, junction boxlayouts, control panel layouts, I/O Lists, Cause & EffectMatrices
Review and checking of vendorpackages;
Preparation of fabrication, construction, andinstallationdetails;
Preparation of design, bid and constructionpackages
o Provideengineering specifications and support to procurement of equipment, skiddedpackages, control systems andbuildings;
o Participatein cost estimate tasks such as developing Bill Of Materials (BOM) and MaterialTake Off(MTO);
o Participatein pre-commissioning, and commissioningactivities;
o Participatein factory acceptance testing of packaged equipment andsystems;
o Internationaland domestic travel may berequired.
