Job summary

Brindley Engineering Corporation is seeking an associate instrumentation engineer to generate instrumentation deliverables and collaborate with project instrumentation designers on new or updated process instrumentation.

Responsibilities include site surveys of existing instrumentation, marking up drawings and data sheets, and producing instrument lists, P&ID’s, loop drawings and I/O lists. This role requires field presence, coordination with disciplines, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• BSc in instrumentation, mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering.
• 3+ years of experience required.
• Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements and scopes of work
• Attend client technical meetings and field walk down meetings
• Perform instrument site surveys and walkdowns
• Develop and prepare as built or as-found instrumentation documentation
• Perform client instrument documentation searches to find required project documents
• Generate instrumentation data, sheets, loop drawings, installation details, instrument lists, DCS/PLC I/O lists and P&ID’s
• Provide technical support for field execution, including outage / turnaround projects
