Job summary

Collier County Public Utilities seeks an Instrumentation / Electrical Technician I – Wastewater to support field operations of the Wastewater Division. The role emphasizes maintenance of control systems and electrical equipment across facilities in a growing public utility environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of related experience. A Florida Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required; you must obtain a Class C Wastewater

Responsibilities

  • Manage field operations of the Wastewater Division.
  • Maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment in wastewater facilities.
  • Assist with installation/repair of electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Work a 7:00 AM-3:30 PM schedule; safety sensitive position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Fingerprinting required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805
  • Must obtain and maintain a Class C Wastewater license or obtain within eighteen (18) months of employment.
  • *General Educational Development (GEDs) must be issued by the American Council on Education through an approved GED Administrator. For Florida the approved GED Administrator would be the Florida Department of Education (public schools or adult education centers).
