Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Kentucky seeks an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician Helpeer I to perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of process control instrumentation equipment, including transmitters, controllers and recorders. Requires ability to interpret schematics and speak English; pre-employment physical required.

You will troubleshoot and calibrate instrumentation, repair electrical and motor control circuits, and work with PLC-based systems.

Qualifications

• Must be a High School graduate or GED equivalent with basic math skills.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings (pneumatic loops, relay logic, PLC diagrams) and connect symbols to components.
• Experience with installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical/instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of process control instrumentation equipment.
• Calibrate instrumentation using proper test equipment and diagnose field faults.
• Repair and modify electrical circuits, motor control circuits and PLC-based systems as needed.
• Prepare and present recommendations and reports related to instrumentation and electrical work.
