Job summary

Arclin in Moncure, NC is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and service electrical and instrumentation systems in an industrial setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a range of process control devices, motors, and sensors to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in an industrial facility, CCST Level 1 or NCCER Instrumentation, and the ability to work in PPE with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an industrial facility environment or equivalent to obtain journeyman level knowledge.
• Must have CCST Level 1 or NCCER Instrumentation certifications.
• Ability to read piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, specification sheets, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams.
• Ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Capability to climb stairs (200 ft +) and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to work in full PPE, air, respirator, suit, etc.
• Ability to work overtime, and be available for call out overtime.
• Proactive, strong time management, and pride in workmanship.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prefer experience with 4-20 mA instrumentation, 3 phase motors and controls, transformers, control panels, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot transformers, motors (low and medium voltage, 5kV), lighting, transmitters, valves, alarms, and other process control devices.
• Perform calibrations on industrial pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
• Replace switches, relays, transmitters, sensing devices, motors, valves, and other faulty equipment.
• Participates in MOCs, PHAs, and functional description reviews.

We are currently seeking talent for an Electrical & InstrumentationTechnician job in our Moncure, NCfacility. This position is responsible for providing maintenance support to the assigned production area and will be required to safely troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace faulty instrumentation and electrical equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

To be successful, you will need:

• 3+ years of related experience in an industrial facility environment or an equivalent mix of education and experience necessary to obtain journeyman level knowledge.
• Must have CCST Level 1 or NCCER Instrumentation certifications
• Ability to read and understand piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, specification sheets, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams.
• Ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Capability to climb stairs (200 ft +) and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to work in full personal protection equipment (PPE), air, respirator, suit, etc.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed, and available for call out overtime.
