Job summary

Linde Inc. in Memphis, TN seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to provide planning and onsite support for critical safety systems and plant reliability.

You will install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. You will perform calibrations, document work orders and calibration records, read piping and instrumentation diagrams, and contribute to reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience in process control instrumentation.
• Strong proficiency with electrical and instrumentation hand tools, meters, calibration equipment and knowledge of electricity and motors.
• Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams with good planning and organization.
• Strong computer skills and clear written and verbal communication for reporting and collaboration.
• Maintenance and minor repairs on low voltage electrical systems, calibrating process analytical equipment, troubleshooting valves and control systems.

What Makes You Great

• You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience in process control instrumentation
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with electrical and instrumentation hand tools, meters, calibration equipment, and solid knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
• Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams while applying strong planning and organizational skills
• Utilize strong computer skills and effective written and verbal communication to support clear reporting and collaboration
• You can perform maintenance and minor repairs on low voltage electrical systems, calibrate process analytical equipment, and troubleshoot automatic control valves and electronic control systems
• Meet physical demands including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights
• Work extended hours as needed and provide flexible support for weekend, holiday, and call‑in coverage
• Maintain a reliable and safety‑focused presence during critical operational periods
