ONEOK, Inc. invites energetic students to join our Instrumentation and Electrical Technician Intern program in Midland, TX this summer.

This entry-level role focuses on hands-on support and learning within our I&E teams, emphasizing safety, ethics, and environmental stewardship while contributing to real operations. You will assist with installing and maintaining instrumentation, SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems, gain exposure to field work, and develop practical skills in a fast-paced midstream

Qualifications

High school diploma required and must be at least 18 years old.
Currently enrolled in a relevant technical or related program preferred.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and sensors.
Maintain ESD and safety interlock systems (SIS) with testing.
Support maintenance of SCADA, RTUs, DCS, and PLC systems.
Maintain OT networks and network equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on compressors, engines, drivers, etc.
Maintain low and medium voltage power circuits and switchgear.
Prepare reports and records including maintenance logs and safety/environmental reports.
