Job summary

Kikkoman Foods, Inc. is seeking an instrumentation technician to test, calibrate, install, repair and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices in a highly automated food processing facility.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot 480V systems, read P&IDs and loop drawings, and generate procedures to support reliable operations. Expect a mix of team collaboration and independent work, with strict safety standards and GMP adherence.

Qualifications

• Repair and maintenance of electrical and process control systems in a highly automated facility.
• Troubleshoot 480V systems and instrumentation to improve reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID and loop drawings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation & electrical equipment.
• Follow GMPs and document work in the maintenance system.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures; apply root cause analysis.

Summary:As an instrumentation technician, you will test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices. You'll also perform general maintenance on the equipment and design new measuring and recording equipment.Duties and Responsibilities:Repair and maintenance of electrical and process control systems for a highly automated food processing facility, to operate in the safest and most productive condition, supporting continuous improvement and reliability of equipment and building systemsPossess the ability to troubleshooting 480 systemsInstallation, repair, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation used in process controls, analyzing systems, valves/actuators, and other pneumatically controlled devicesDetermines causes for malfunctioning instruments and takes appropriate action to improve system reliabilityVariable frequency drive programming and troubleshootingReads and interprets electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID and loop drawingsPerforms preventive maintenance on instrumentation & electrical equipmentWorking as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your dutiesAssists in the implementation and improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilitiesGenerate and maintain written procedures for maintenance tasksFollows all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMP's).Executes and documents planned and unplanned work via maintenance management systemLeverages methodologies like root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issuesAssists in the maintenance of parts inventoryPlan maintenance work with operations, contractors, and other plant staff“Call in” duties as requested by Maintenance supervisionDepending on the situation, mechanical maintenance work may be required.Mentorship/training as neededOther duties as assigned
