Job summary

Glacial Lakes Energy in Watertown, SD is seeking a Maintenance Instrumentation & Electrical Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of process and utility equipment with a focus on electrical systems and instrumentation.

You will serve as the go‑to expert for electrical and instrumentation needs. This hands‑on role requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of 4–20 mA systems, PLCs, and electrical safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or AAS in Electrical/Engineering Technology preferred.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on maintenance experience required; ethanol or related industrial experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits, pumps, valves, PLCs, and 4–20 mA instrumentation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration on pumps, valves, tanks, vessels, electrical systems, and utility equipment.
• Lead resources for electrical and instrumentation tasks.
• Maintain and troubleshoot 4–20 mA instrumentation and electrical circuits.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime and increase plant efficiency.
• Document maintenance work and equipment changes using digital systems.
