A n Instrumentation Coordinator works to prepare, sterilize, install, a ssemble, and or clean all clinic or healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. The Instrumentation Coordinator ensures equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections . This posit ion is for ensuring sterili zed, appropriately functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered to the point use aseptically. Additionally, this position needs to serve as a clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation across the Enterprise. This position will also be responsible for procuring , and standardizing instrument trays across the Enterprise . This position will be utilized 24/7 in multiple reprocessing sites across the Health System , to include Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, University Hospital East and all Ambulatory sites.
Coordination and oversight of daily activities be tween the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate efficient case flow, through efficient case cart assembly and decontamination, assembly and sterilization /high level disinfection of all repr ocessed surgical inventory. Responsible for assisting in projects and process improve ment. Promotes customer service and patient satisfaction through effective communication with Operating Room clinical operations and multiple sterile processing de partments across the Medical Center. Also responsible for ordering, procuring and organizing instrument trays on a global level to service the entire Enterprise.
Requires 1 Year experience and CRCST or CBSPD certification.
