Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to perform electrical and instrumentation work within the Instrument & Controls Department. You will install, troubleshoot, and calibrate instruments, valves, and control systems, read P&ID's, and complete PM documentation to ISO, Environmental, DOT, and PSM standards.

The role requires TWIC, 2+ years field experience (4+ preferred), and familiarity with Rosemount/Honeywell transmitters and DMMs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 1–2 years of related education in electrical/instrumentation.
• Minimum 2 years field experience in instrumentation/electrical; 4+ years preferred.
• NICET Level 2 or higher is a plus.
• Ability to read P&ID's, schematics, loop diagrams; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and calibrate pressure, level, flow, temp and other instruments.
• Troubleshoot control valves, solenoid valves and positioners.
• Perform instrumentation loop checks and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and microprocessor-based control systems.
• Complete PM documentation for ISO, Environmental, DOT and PSM.
