Job summary

Westlake in Sulphur, LA is seeking an Instrumentation/Electrical technician to install, troubleshoot and calibrate instruments and control systems in a refinery setting. You will read P&IDs, perform loop checks and support calibration of Rosemount and Honeywell transmitters, valves and meters.

The role requires a TWIC card, a high school diploma with electrical/instrumentation training, and 2+ years field experience (4+ preferred).

Qualifications

• TWIC card required.
• High School graduate with additional electrical/instrumentation training (1–2 years).
• Minimum two years field experience in Instrumentation/Electrical; four+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and calibrate pressure, level, flow, temperature and other instruments.
• Install and calibrate control valves, solenoid valves and positioners.
• Perform instrumentation loop checks and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Read P&ID loop diagrams and schematics; use DMMs and calibration equipment.
• Complete PM documentation and support safety, ISO, DOT, and PSM activities.
