Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Controls Technician to support building and maintaining data and control systems, including instrumentation, wiring, sensors, and electrical panels. You will calibrate and troubleshoot hardware, analyze test data, and collaborate with design engineers to resolve failures of test setups.

The role requires hands-on experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and electrical systems, and requires ability to travel and work variable schedules in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical field; 3+ years in controls or electrical systems.
• Experience with instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, flow meters.
• Ability to layout and wire electrical panels and troubleshoot effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex technical assignments involving instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Maintain, calibrate, configure, monitor, test, troubleshoot, install, and repair instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Investigate, diagnose, and document malfunctions in instrumentation or systems.
• Analyze calibration results and assist in interpreting test data.
• Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, and modify electrical and electronic units and systems.
• Configure data acquisition hardware and perform wire terminations; verify sensor health.
