Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Instrumentation, Manufacturing & Automation Intern to join the team in Sioux Center, IA. The internship offers NCC students practical experience across Instrumentation & Electrical, Manufacturing, and Plant Floor Automation, working alongside seasoned professionals on real projects.

You will gain exposure to panel fabrication, drawings, PLC/HMI programming, and daily operations while supporting project activities in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree or technical education in Instrumentation, Electrical, Automation, Engineering, or a related field.
Interest in instrumentation, industrial automation, manufacturing, or electrical systems.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Participate in electrical panel fabrication and assembly.
Read and learn to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Gain exposure to instrumentation, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
Contribute to PLC and HMI programming and automation projects.
Support testing, documentation, and other project activities.
Learn from experienced team members about industrial applications.
