Job summary

LAMP seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep instruments, controls and electrical systems operating during commissioning and beyond. The role requires knowledge transfer from integrators and vendor technicians after onboarding.

You will calibrate, troubleshoot and repair transmitters, valves, analyzers and final control elements, and maintain motor control centers and distribution equipment. A strong focus on safety and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in instrumentation, electrical technology or equivalent military or apprenticeship training.
• Five or more years of industrial instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
• Calibration and loop troubleshooting competence.
• NFPA 70E qualified and comfortable working on energized equipment where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair transmitters, control valves, analyzers and final control elements.
• Maintain motor control centers, variable frequency drives, switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot control loops, interlocks and safety instrumented functions with the Controls Engineer.
• Maintain gas detection, fire alarm and emergency shutdown systems and complete proof testing on schedule.
• Execute preventive maintenance and calibration schedules in the CMMS and document results.
• Support planned outages and turnaround work.
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E, arc flash requirements and hazardous area installation rules.
