Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, with a strong focus on wiring, cable fabrication, and control systems. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑conscious, and motivated to support reliable and efficient operations across equipment and processes. This is a full‑time, onsite position based on our Austin, Texas HQ Campus and reports to the Electro‑Mechanical Technician Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, instruments, and control devices.
  • Fabricate and assemble custom cables and wiring harnesses to specification.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform wiring for control panels, field devices, motors, sensors, and PLC systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems and instrumentation circuits.
  • Calibrate and test instruments and sensors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for wiring, cable layouts, and instrumentation setups.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement control system upgrades and modifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols, company standards, and regulatory requirements related to electrical work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance or installation (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of wiring practices, control systems, and instrumentation devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with PLC systems, sensors, and motor controls.
  • Proficiency in cable fabrication, wiring, and harness assembly.
