A US-based mining company seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to maintain and design process control systems. The Instrumentation and Controls Technician reports to the Electrical Engineer and is responsible for the maintenance, design, and integration of all process control systems on site, focusing on functional, physical, and electrical components to meet site specifications. This role involves programming PLC and HMI systems, installation and testing of electrical equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in production processes, and maintaining communication across departments to address operational needs. The schedule for this position is 14 days on at the remote mine site located about 45 miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 14 days off.
