Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking an Associate Chemist to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques in a QA/QC environment. The role emphasizes wet chemistry, data evaluation, and instrument maintenance, with shift-specific training and strict adherence to SOPs.

The position requires a BS/BA in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience), English proficiency, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write and speak).
• BS/BA in Chemistry or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related lab experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Evaluate and quantify data.
• Record and report data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Competency in instrument software (training provided).
• Keep training documentation current and accurate.
• Complete QC samples timely (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT).
• Document NCMs for quality issues.
• Utilize backlog reports to manage workload.
• Work under close supervision using routine methods.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
