About Music for Life

Music for Life is an innovative not-for-profit organisation, delivering instrumental and singing lessons to primary and secondary aged children in individual, small group and whole class settings. Founded three decades ago, Musicfor Life emerged to address the complex administrative challenges faced by schools eager to provide musical opportunities for their students.

We are currently seeking tutors across Cheshire and the Wirral.

Music for Life was awarded ‘not for profit of the year for 25/26’. The judges praised the exceptional commitment to inclusivity that is the foundation of every class and event held by Music for Life. Currently, we teach over 3,000 students every week, spanning more than 130 schools and collaborating with approximately 100 self-employed music tutors who impart their expertise in individual, small group and whole-class settings. What truly distinguishes Music for Life is our self-sufficiency, ensuring that the initiative not only sustains itself but also gives back to the community.

Musicfor Life works in partnership with over 100 self-employed, freelance tutors, working throughout the area delivering outstanding music tuition. Sharing the same philosophy and beliefs that Musicfor Life have, the collaboration between the team and the self-employed tutors is so strong, built on a mutually supportive and respectful foundation. Musicfor Life organises and arranges all lesson bookings and timetable logistics, leaving tutors to focus entirely on the music.
