Job summary

Waters is seeking an Instrument Test Technician 1 in Sparks, MD to perform production assembly operations and complete system testing. You will troubleshoot and optimize instrument performance, analyze pass/fail results, and escalate issues as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or AA technical degree with manufacturing experience in regulated environments, plus strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years of manufacturing experience, or AA technical degree with 2 years' experience.
• Experience in a regulated environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and understand the entire instrument production process.
• Proficient on test instructions for at least one moderately complex instrument including functional testing.
• Analyze results to determine pass/fail and provide solutions.
• Provide optimization for instrument performance using pass/fail data.
• Identify defects and recommend design/process improvements.
• Read and interpret drawings and instructions to meet workmanship standards.
• Provide training to associates on mechanical and testing activities.
• Comply with GMP and BD safety/quality requirements.
