Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrician Technician to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair controlling, indicating and measuring instruments. The role requires reading manuals, schematics, and testing specifications, with NCCER certification and an electrical license preferred, and 3–5 years journeyman experience.

The position involves field calibration, instrument maintenance, and compliance with safety procedures in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent with related experience.
• NCCER certification and State Electrical License required.
• 3-5 years journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as part of the maintenance program.
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments.
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments and controllers, transducers, and valves.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and electrical instrumentation.
• Read one-line schematics, P&ID, and ladder diagrams.
• Use electrical test equipment such as VOM and amp meter.
