Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Technician capable of installing, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing instrument devices to ensure specified performance. Candidates should read schematics, install wiring, and troubleshoot PLCs and control loops in industrial environments.

Experience and NCCER/TDLR certifications along with a valid driver’s license are preferred. This full-time role is based in Texas, with on-site responsibilities and safety-focused operations.

Instrument Technician Must be able to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair electrical, controlling, indicating and measuring instrument devices to ensure specified operating performance using hand tools, testing and calibrating instruments and equipment and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and understand manuals, wiring or instrumentation schematics and testing specifications. Must be able to troubleshoot electric motors, install wiring to circuits, etc. Must have some knowledge of electrical schematics and PLCs. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to build Control Panels from scratch

Qualifications Required For This Position
Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.

Certification/License - NCCER, TDLR, and a valid Driver’s License.
