Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our water systems team in New Mexico. You will calibrate process controls, analyze equipment, and troubleshoot water treatment and distribution systems.

Travel up to 10% is required; a high school diploma with 4 years related experience is expected; we value safe workmanship and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 4 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates process controls used in water processing and water distribution equipment.
  • Performs periodic analysis of water processing and water distribution equipment and related process controls to determine need for repairs.
  • Detects and troubleshoots production defects of water treatment and water distribution equipment.
  • Certifies and documents that calibration procedures have been performed.
  • Ensures equipment meets federal, state, and local operating standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Repairs pipes, lights, power and instrumentation system.

Job Description
  • Calibrates process controls used in water processing and water distribution equipment.

Skills & Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of mechanical equipment and repair methods. Intermediate mathematics skills. Intermediate problem solving skills. Intermediate reading and writing skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to use the various tools required for the trade.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. 4 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
