Zusammenfassung

ProFarm is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to install, calibrate, and maintain control systems across our facilities. The role includes diagnosing issues, reading schematics, and ensuring instrument performance through regular testing and meticulous record keeping.

You will work with calibration tools and testing devices, requiring attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and occasional travel. A 2-year degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred or 4+ years related experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in plant process operations.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
• Perform regular tests/inspections for optimal operation of instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Test new or repaired instrumentation on test stands or devices.
• Modify or fabricate as needed for instrumentation fit.
• Plan, construct, and assemble test panels for production testing.
• Keep records on repair and calibration of instruments.
• Interpret Instrument/Electrical manuals, drawings and spec layouts.
• Special skills in installation and maintenance of Instrument/Electrical equipment.
• Recommend modifications or upgrades to improve system efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Installing, calibrating, and maintaining instruments and control systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with existing systems.
• Performing regular tests and inspections to ensure optimal operation of instruments.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Testing new or repaired instrumentation on test stand or other devices.
• May need to modify or fabricate as needed for instrumentation to fit the needs of the facility.
• May plan, construct, and assemble test panels for experimental production testing.
• Will keep records on repair and calibration of instruments.
• Thorough knowledge and interpretation of Instrument/Electrical manuals, drawings, specification layout and blueprints.
• Special skills in installation and maintenance of Instrument/ Electrical equipment and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Recommending modifications or upgrades to improve system efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred. Or 4+ years related experience and/or training, or a combination of experience and education.
• Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in plant process operations.

• Ability to use hand tools and testing devices.
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to have strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential in this position.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn new software/new information, when necessary, in order to complete job duties thoroughly.
• Ability to have a high level of proficiency of the English language, both in verbal and written form.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, turn, reach, lift, and climb
• Ability to climb ladders and to be at heights of 80 -100 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Ability and dexterity to manipulate various size components from valves to small electrical switches to computer keyboards.
• Ability to work extended hours when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to travel by car domestically 1% - 5% of the time.
