Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an Instrument Technician to disinfect, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment in a fast-paced setting. The role requires identifying instruments and trays and ensuring sterility throughout the processing workflow.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of instrument technician experience; preferred CRCST/CSPDT/CASSPT or CFER GI Lab certifications to enhance qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Instrument Technician experience.
• Preferred certifications CRCST, CSPDT, CASSPT or CFER for GI Labs.

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
• One (1) year experience as an Instrument Technician

PREFERRED

• Inpatient sterile processing CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Outpatient sterile processing CRCST, CSPDT or CASSPT certification.
• For GI Labs, CFER is acceptable.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
