Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus in Cleveland is hiring an Instrument Specialist within Sterile Processing-Operations. You will coordinate the distribution of surgical equipment, manage instrument repairs, and oversee vendor loaner sets to support safe, efficient operating room care.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, CSCST/CORT/CST certification (or equivalent licensure), is proficient with Excel/Word, and has two years of Sterile Processing or related hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CSCST/CORT/CST certification or Sterile Processing licensure preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word and related sterile processing information systems.
• Two years of experience in Sterile Processing or related hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate distribution of surgical equipment and instrumentation repairs.
• Oversee vendor loaner sets and ensure instrument readiness for OR use.
• Manage instrument tray changes, labeling, and reconstruction as needed.
• Process instrument procurement and orders for OR Nurse Managers and SPD leadership.
• Monitor tray assembly, instrument stock levels, and participate in budget considerations.
