Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering, OH is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician for the 3rd shift. You will perform decontamination, sorting, assembling, and packaging of instruments and supplies for the OR, using STERRAD, steam, and EO sterilizers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and certification within 12 months. Prior related experience and certification are preferred as you work in a not-for-profit health system dedicated to safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Previous related experience and certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination on instruments, equipment, and other items as needed.
• Sorts and cleans instruments and equipment by hand and/or washer/disinfectant.
• Assembles, wraps, and packages instruments, instrument trays, and supplies.
• Sterilizes instruments and supplies using STERRAD, steam and ethylene oxide gas sterilizers as trained.
• "Picks" instruments, instrument trays, supplies, in a timely matter for surgery.
• Performs basic computer functions using a Windows based system as needed
