Job summary

Evonik in Utah seeks an Instrument/Electrical (I&E) technician to perform basic to mid-level I/E tasks while receiving formal training within the I/E group in an industrial plant environment.

You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical systems, read diagrams, and document activities in SAP CMMS, contributing to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Instrument/Electrical crafts and safety requirements.
• Familiar with Temperature, Pressure, and flow instrumentation.
• Capable of programming/troubleshooting VFDs and DeltaV/RS3.
• Proficient with SAP and basic software for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Industrial Safety requirements for I/E crafts.
• Use I/E tools and test equipment for installation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Work on instrumentation calibration, valves, and process control loops.
• Read electrical codes, manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Document repair activities and seek continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor others on precision maintenance principles.
