The Role:

We are looking for our next Instrument & Electrical Technician within our Roquette maintenance team. The I & E Tech will be responsible for providing technical expertise and experience toward maintaining site electrical and control systems. This can include troubleshooting, repairing, installing, constructing devices and equipment toward reliable operational business facilities and equipment.

This position is located at Midland, MI

Compensation:

The current hourly range for this role is estimated to be $34.80-46.15/hour. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

• Provide experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
• Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
• During repairs ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, correct technology, etc are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed.
• Ensures repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
• Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
• Serves as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
• During development of turnaround work, provides input on scope of work.
• Works with other crafts and coordinators to complete maintenance repair on time.

What You'll Need:

Education:

• Sate of Michigan Journeyman Electrical licenses
• Instrumentation training (will provide Instrumentation training to the right candidate)

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Electrical/Instrument field

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.(manufacturing only)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, use ladders, use general housekeeping tools such as shovels, brooms, etc. Manufacturing facility is a multi-level plant with several staircases. Occasionally employees do work at heights. Must be able to operate a fork truck.

Position Type

• This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
