Job Description: Performs specialized maintenance and repair services, either across multiple crafts (such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting), or in a single craft with significant specialized expertise. Maintains a sound understanding of the maintenance history of buildings, equipment, and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply all safety requirements for the Instrument and Electrical crafts, including ISO, Responsible Care (RC), and other plant-specific requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of gaskets, packing, bolts, anchors, hoses, metallurgy, and field mounting techniques related to electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Work on instrumentation calibration, configuration, pneumatic control valves, actuators, positioners, loop checks, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Read, interpret, and implement electrical codes, manuals, schematics, P&ID’s, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Replace faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components under supervision.
  • Check out parts and materials from storerooms for routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Document repair activities and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Department, contractors, engineers, and production units.
  • Promote a safe and effective work environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) and process controls.
  • Familiarity with temperature, pressure, and flow instrumentation.
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives.
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (Delta V and RS3 is a plus).
  • Proficiency with computers, including standard software and SAP.
  • Ability to use basic E&I test equipment, Driver Explorer, RsLinx, AMS, and standard software; capable of installing, rebuilding, and pressure testing control and stop valves.
