Job summary

Perrigo Nutritionals, located in Georgia, VT, is seeking an Instrument Technician to join the Process Automation Controls group. The role runs the Day Shift (6am-6pm EST) on a biweekly 2/2/3 schedule and is full-time, non-exempt with a starting pay rate of $29.40 per hour plus a 15% shift premium.

Severance is offered upon plant closure in 2027: 52 weeks of base pay and benefits for tenure ≥12 months, or 36 weeks for shorter tenure. Perrigo provides comprehensive benefits and retirement matching.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma/GED or equivalent. Associate degree in EET preferred.
Proficiency in SLC/PLC programming and hardware; understanding manufacturing processes.
Calibrating and maintaining electronic/pneumatic instrumentation and controls.
Ability to read and follow SOPs, WIs, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Calibrate electronic, pneumatic and mechanical instrumentation; maintain calibration records.
Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot plant control systems and equipment.
Define instrumentation requirements and troubleshoot power and control systems.
Review system drawings, P&ID's and equipment manuals; update logs.
Operate interface devices for programmable controllers and computers; implement program changes.
Write and debug PLC programs where required.
