Job summary

Perrigo Company is seeking an Instrument Technician for Perrigo Nutritionals in Georgia, VT. The role covers diagnosing and maintaining plant control and automation systems, with a day shift (6am-6pm EST) and a biweekly 2/2/3 schedule.

The position starts at $29.40/hr plus a 15% shift premium and offers comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will calibrate instrumentation, install and troubleshoot control systems, review drawings, and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred or equivalent.
Proficiency in SLC/PLC programming and hardware architecture for troubleshooting and design tasks.
Proficient in calibration and maintenance of electronic/pneumatic instrumentation, controls and PLC systems.
Ability to read/write English to follow SOPs, WIs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Calibrate instrumentation and maintain calibration documentation.
Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot plant control systems and equipment.
Define instrumentation requirements and troubleshoot power/control systems.
Review system drawings, P&IDs and manuals.
Operate PLC interfaces for program changes and troubleshooting; write/debug PLC programs (preferred).
Interface with vendors when necessary and assist in training others.
Document work per SOPs and work instructions; perform other duties as assigned.
