Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Center (ICC) of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Panel Technician to join our Instrument Control Division. This person will report directly to the Production Supervisor and assist in the production of Instrument Control Panels. Attention to detail and following step-by-step instructions will lead you to a successful panel buildout.

Responsibilities
  • Building industrial control panels.
  • Read schematics and diagrams for installation of parts, wire, and components.
  • Test and troubleshoot with a meter for accuracy.
  • Be knowledgeable of UL 508A standards and practices.
  • Know wire types and sizes.
  • Understand the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Understand electrical fundamentals.
  • Maintain appropriate work appearance (work pants, work boots).
  • Proficient in basic math (algebra).
  • Know basic hand tools and how to use and care for them.
  • Route wires neatly.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Show dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Be a self-starter.
  • Perform other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and organized.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in all types of measuring tools as required.
  • Proficient in using computers to obtain and document information.

Work Schedule
