Job description

What's the role

As an Instrument and Electrical Technician, you will provide instrument and electrical technical support to construction, plant facilities, and field operations. Your responsibilities include repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems and other equipment. You will also inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain process control systems such as PLCs or DCS and similar equipment.

Accountabilities:

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties include:

  1. Install, diagnose, and maintain instrument and electrical equipment components in a reliable and efficient manner, complying with procedures and regulations.
  2. Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated software.
  3. Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems, process, or safety controls.
  4. Read and interpret manuals, policies, standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID’s.
  5. Participate in call-out/on-call requirements.
  6. Participate in safety programs and initiatives.
  7. Perform specialized technical skills such as developing complex design projects, evaluating electrical systems, and maintaining gas turbine or skid control systems.
  8. Provide work direction, oversight, and inspect work by third-party contractors.
  9. Mentor and oversee less qualified employees.
  10. Provide accurate written and electronic reports.
  11. Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  12. Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).

What we need from you

  • Authorized to work in the US without a visa.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
  • NFPA 70E Certification.
  • Electrical and Instrument NCCR certification or relevant degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and SAP.

Working Conditions and Requirements:

This position involves working a 4-10 schedule. Please note that an online assessment is required for consideration. Complete the assessment within the specified timeframe.

The rate is $49.71 per hour, with pay based on experience, education, certifications, and skill level.
