**Occupational Summary**
Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, the Welding Instructor supervises and trains students in Welding courses. The position requires flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

  1. Teach assigned courses to meet program needs.
  2. Integrate classroom and hands-on experiences to demonstrate competencies.
  3. Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
  4. Modify instructional methods for diverse student needs.
  5. Oversee daily class operations.
  6. Maintain records, prepare reports, and submit grades per institutional policy.
  7. Follow safety procedures and report deficiencies.
  8. Provide feedback on student progress.
  9. Ensure confidentiality of student records.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the subject area.
  11. Motivate students to complete their programs successfully.
  12. Promote community awareness of program opportunities.
  13. Perform other tasks supporting the College's mission.

**Minimum Qualifications**

  • Certified AWS and/or NCCER preferred.
  • At least 1 year of postsecondary teaching experience in the subject area is highly preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom.
