Qualifications

FMC Ice Sports, established in 1992, manages high-quality ice sport facilities and programs across Massachusetts, promoting hockey and skating. We operate 25 arenas in partnership with the state, municipalities, and educational institutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking Lead Instructors to work under the supervision of program Supervisors. Responsibilities include instructing groups in learn-to-skate and learn-to-play programs, demonstrating skating techniques, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Essential Duties

• Provide excellent customer service and control interactions.
• Educate patrons on safe ice activities.
• Evaluate and assign students to appropriate skating levels.
• Complete necessary program documentation.
• Enforce rink rules and policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position, primarily during afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with variable schedules.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

• Experience in assisting or teaching skating is preferred.
• Proficiency in ice skating required; figure skaters should have passed ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4; hockey players should have formal league experience.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
