Oregon State University, via OSU Cascades Bend, invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions in Economics for 2025-2026 and Fall Term 2026. Some appointments may be full- or part-time and renewed at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Teaching will cover undergraduate Economics courses on campus, with start dates in Sept 2025, Dec 2025, Mar 2026, or Sept 2026. Positions aim to foster critical thinking and effective course assessment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics required.
• PhD or terminal degree in a related field preferred.
• Teaching experience at the college/university level is desirable.

Job Summary

The Business Program at OSU -Cascades in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term by term basis for the 2025-2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Applications will be considered throughout the 2025/2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026, as opportunities become available.

This position is located in Bend, Oregon.

Instructors may be needed to teach on campus undergraduate courses in the following areas: Economics.

If hired into a term appointment, the anticipated start date(s) are September 16, 2025, December 16, 2025, March 16, 2026, or September 16, 2026.

The primary mission of the Business Program at OSU -Cascades is to provide undergraduate level education and the curriculum encompasses most standard fields of the discipline. This position is designed to foster critical thinking, advance student’s knowledge and skills through the teaching of various discipline/courses. The incumbent(s) are expected to provide an intellectual foundation for students concerning the discipline. The courses serve students in degree programs.

What You Will Need

Master’s degree in Economics is a requirement.
