The Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas invites applications for an open rank teaching position. The position is a non-tenure track appointment as either Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor, with the title contingent on the candidate's qualifications. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate industrial engineering courses, advising students, and engaging in scholarship consistent with the appointment. The anticipated start date is either January or August 2022.
Applicants should have a graduate degree (or earned prior to start date) in industrial engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, operations research, or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills. To be eligible for the Teaching Assistant Professor role, a Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. Candidates should show potential for teaching excellence and the ability to provide academic advising and service to the department and university.
