University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time Instructor Optometrist to provide outpatient medical and perioperative eye care at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. The role includes vision testing, refraction, contact lens fitting, and pre/postoperative management for cataract and refractive surgery patients, with onsite duties in Loveland.

Ideal candidate has a Doctor of Optometry, completed a residency, and holds or is eligible for Colorado medical licensure;

Qualifications

• Must have Doctor of Optometry or equivalent degree and completed an approved residency in optometry.
• Colorado medical license or eligibility is required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
• Manage medical and perioperative ophthalmic disorders, routine eye screening, visual acuity testing, and refraction.
• Provide pre and postoperative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients.
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses and eyeglasses.

Education

Doctor of Optometry or equivalent degree

Completed an approved residency program in optometry

Colorado medical license or eligible
