Job summary

The Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies, and Physical Education at SUNY Brockport invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track Instructor of Kinesiology. The position supports four undergraduate majors and anticipates start in August 2027.

The incumbent will teach a 4/4 load with Motor Development and Motor Learning, engage in scholarly activity, and participate in service to the department, college, and profession.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Motor Behavior, or related field.
• Ability to teach undergraduate motor behavior courses and other department courses as needed.
• Ability to provide quality mentorship to students.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 course load (3-credit courses or equivalent).
• Teach Motor Development and Motor Learning courses and other department courses as needed.
• Engage in scholarly activity and stay current in the field.
• Provide service to the department, university, and profession; participate in committees.
