Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe and engaging classes for a diverse member base at our Medical Fitness facility in Scottsdale. You will ensure proper technique, provide modifications, and support a positive class experience while adhering to movement guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year of group fitness instruction or specialty formats, and CPR/AED with BLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of instructing group fitness classes or leading specialty fitness instruction (e.g., Yoga, Pilates, Cycling/Spin, Barre, Aquatics).
• CPR/AED and BLS certifications required.
• NCCA-accredited primary Group Exercise certification or a specialty certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead group exercise classes according to class format.
• Attend trainings and participate in continuing education.
• Provide safe progressions, modifications, and cues for participants.
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Build supportive relationships with members to foster community engagement.
• Arrive early, greet class participants, and manage class flow.
• Maintain studio cleanliness and equipment.

Experience

License and Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - Certification, CPR/AED Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification, Required
